BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The U.S. military has seized a gas field at al-Shadadi in Syria's southern governorate of al-Hasakah, near the Iraqi border. However, US troops later returned to Iraq. According to Arab TV, five US armored vehicles crossed the Iraqi border into the Syrian government-controlled oil field.
After the US troops arrived in the area, the troops inspected Al-Kabiba, Ghuna and Hawiziya petrol installations. These scenes were filmed with the help of drones after the US troops entered the oil and gas field. In the past 48 hours, a large US cargo plane landed at the illegally established Al-Qasrak airport near the town of Til Bedar, north of Al-Hasakah. The plane stayed for more than 3 hours and then departed for an unknown destination.
