Clashes between Indian and Chinese troops on Sikkim border, several soldiers injured

Several soldiers were injured in a clash between Indian and Chinese forces on the border of the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim.

According to the foreign news agency, during the patrol on the border of the Indian state adjacent to Tibet, harsh words were exchanged between the armies of the two countries, after which both sides pelted stones at each other and it was time for a scuffle.

 Mandeep Hooda, a spokesman for the Indian Army's Eastern Command, said soldiers on both sides were injured in the incident, but no one was seriously injured.

Mandeep Hooda says the issue has been resolved after talks at the local level.

It should be noted that there is a long border between China and India and there is a border dispute between the two countries. Most of the time, the two countries come face to face during military patrols on the border at high altitudes.

Due to the border dispute, a war broke out between the two countries in 1962.
