Chinese President Xi Jinping has ordered the Chinese military to make immediate preparations for any possible war.

As the situation with India deteriorated, the Chinese president ordered the army to prepare for war. As the situation with India deteriorated, the Chinese president ordered the army to prepare for war, considering that the common border between the two countries is 3,400 km (2,100 miles).

Geography of the area

The Nako La sector of Sikkim, where the first clash between China and India took place, is more than 5,000 meters (16,400 feet) above sea level in the Himalayas. The two countries share a common border of 3,400 km (2,100 miles). China claims 90,000 square kilometers in northeastern India, but India says China has occupied 38,000 square kilometers in the western Himalayas. Relevant officials of the two countries met 20 times on the border dispute but no significant progress was made.
Chicken good

The India-China border meets India's most important area, the Siliguri Corridor, also known as the Chicken Neck. India's seven states in the Chikanak region share borders with China, Bhutan and Nepal, and the region's main state is Sikkim, which shares borders with Beijing and New Delhi.

The Indian state of Sikkim shares borders with the Chinese region of Tibet. Sikkim is the second smallest state in India in terms of population, but it is of great strategic importance.

China recognizes its right to the northeastern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, which is home to a large population of Tibetans, and from there, Indian pilgrims go to Tibet for religious services. The pilgrims were stopped by Beijing due to security concerns.

Chinese president orders war preparations

According to the news agency, Chinese President Xi Jinping, addressing his army, said that arrangements should be made to deal with the worst situation, while the Chinese president also ordered the army to prepare for war. The decision to keep the army on standby was taken at a key security meeting on Tuesday. The Chinese president said that any kind of aggression would be met with a resounding response.

On the other hand, China retaliated against India by gaining control of the disputed area in Ladakh, while another 5,000 Chinese troops have been deployed on the Sikkim border.

China says Indian military has tried to unilaterally change the status of the disputed area. The Chinese military has also begun building underground bunkers in the area to curb India's growing covert operations and aggression, while 800 Chinese military tents have been spotted around the Galvan Valley, while 60 tents have been set up on the Indian side.

Both are preparing their defenses and Chinese trucks are moving equipment in the area, raising fears of a confrontation. A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said in a statement that "China is committed to maintaining peace and stability in the border areas between China and India, including the protection of its territorial sovereignty." No comments were made.

Regarding the disputed area, China says India is carrying out illegal defense construction near the Galvan Valley. The Chinese army captured a contingent of the Indian army and later released him. The Indian Army Chief has termed the operation as a severe blow to India.

Indian media has released pictures in which it can be seen that where the Indian army used to be, there is now a Chinese army. The affair began on May 5, when Indian and Chinese troops came face to face on the eastern Ladakh border.

Meanwhile, India's border dispute with Nepal is also growing. The Prime Minister of Nepal has released a new map in which the areas of Kala Pani, Lampia Dhora and Lipu Lekh have been declared as part of Nepal. Analysts say tensions over the Himalayan border dispute between India and China have been fueled by India's construction of new roads and airstrips.

Conflict over Bhutan

In 2018, military tensions erupted between China and India over Bhutan. Beijing was building a road in its territory bordering India and Bhutan, which meets the Indian state of Sikkim, on which India and Bhutan have expressed reservations.

Prior to India, Bhutan had also protested to the Chinese government over the construction of the road. Although Thimphu and Beijing do not have diplomatic relations, Bhutan still considered the construction of the road against its security.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry had repeatedly warned India that New Delhi should withdraw its troops from Chinese territory, and that Beijing had the right to build a road under the 1890 treaty under British rule.
