It may be recalled that Indian troops had clashed with Chinese troops in the eastern Ladakh region last month, while there were also reports of Chinese troops being detained by China for border violations.
Indo-China tensions on the eastern Ladakh border remain high and despite talks, tensions have not been reduced.
The Chinese military has shut down the Indian military patrolling the disputed area, with India acknowledging that reports of military capture are hurting the national interest.
On the other hand, the questions of the opposition have also put the Indian government in trouble. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to sneer at the Modi government and Defense Minister Rajnath.
Rahul Gandhi has asked Rajnath to explain, "Have the Chinese occupied Indian territory in Ladakh?"
The opposition leader said that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh would have to answer this question.
In an interview to a TV channel, Rajnath said that the Chinese army has carried out major constructions in the area in response to which India has taken appropriate steps.
On the other hand, the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) do not like the questions asked by journalists regarding Ladakh.
During a press conference, Indian journalist Sardib Raj Desai asked about the reality of Ladakh and BJP leaders advised him to go to Pakistan.
