Whether or not Hajj will take place this year due to the corona virus will be decided today.
According to sources in the Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Kaaba has been made effective in cleaning the house, while a disinfectant system has been installed at all entrances to the Masjid al-Haram to protect worshipers from corona during Ramadan.
Due to the corona virus in Saudi Arabia, only a limited number of people are being allowed to enter the Baitullah Sharif and a security fence has been erected around the Kaaba. Was
Due to the Corona epidemic, iftar meals at the Masjid al-Haram and Masjid al-Nabawi during Ramadan are also banned, instead ration bags are being distributed to deserving people.
Earlier in April, Saudi Arabia had asked countries around the world to delay preparations for the Hajj.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj has stopped any agreement at the moment but the Saudi government is considering various options regarding Hajj payment.
He said that the Saudi government would take a final decision on Hajj after consultation with other Muslim countries including Pakistan.
Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that Hajj has not been completed or partially performed more than 40 times in history, so if the situation improves then Hajj will take place.
It should be noted that the number of people infected with Corona in Saudi Arabia has reached more than 37,000 while 239 people have died, including 30 Pakistanis.
