The King of Jordan has warned Israel that large-scale conflict could erupt if plans to annex parts of the occupied West Bank continue.
EU foreign ministers, meanwhile, have agreed to step up diplomatic efforts to end the Israeli occupation. According to Al Jazeera, Israel has promised to annex ghettos and the Jordan Valley, which could be a practical justification for ending a long-stalled peace process.
In an interview, King Abdullah II of Jordan issued a warning against Israel's plans. He said leaders who support a "one state" solution do not understand what that means.
What will happen with the abolition of the Palestinian National Authority? There will be more chaos and extremism in the region, and if Israel does occupy the West Bank in July, it will lead to large-scale conflicts with Jordan.
It should be noted that Jordan is an ally of the West and one of the two Arab states that have signed a peace agreement with Israel.
"I don't want to make threats and create a lagerheads atmosphere, but we are considering all options," he said. "We agree with many European countries and the international community that the law of power should not apply in the Middle East," Abdullah said.
On the other hand, Khalid Algendi, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute, said that Israel's accession plans could endanger the Jordanian monarchy.
He said that when the king himself came out and made his relations and agreement with Israel mandatory, it was a very serious matter. It should be noted that Jordan is constantly lobbying the European Union to stop Israel's accession plan.
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi stressed the need for practical action by the international community, and the European Union in particular. In a video conference, the EU foreign ministers reaffirmed their support for a "two-state solution" and opposition to any affiliation.
EU foreign policy chief Giuseppe Borrell said after chairing the meeting that "any possible move towards accession should be discouraged." "International law must be upheld here and everywhere," he said. The European Union has already rejected US President Donald Trump's plan.
American plan
US President Donald Trump has announced a Middle East peace plan that would make Jerusalem the "undivided capital" of Israel, while the Palestinians would have a capital in East Jerusalem and half of the West Bank. Will not be divided into sections.
The Palestinians rejected any proposal that did not show the whole of East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine because of the presence of Muslim, Jewish and Christian holy sites in the area.
However, the US President had said in the White House that Jerusalem would remain the undivided capital of Israel. The peace plan proposed by the United States recognized Israeli settlements in the West Bank and imposed a four-year ban on new settlements in the West Bank.
According to the Associated Press, the peace plan supports Israel on key issues in the conflict, which has hampered peace efforts in the past, including along the borders, and makes it almost impossible to give the Palestinians a state.
The peace plan received a neutral response from the United Nations and Europe, while major Islamic countries rejected it, calling it a betrayal of Palestine.
CNN fired a commentator on supporting Palestine
American Broadcast Agency, CNN has fired research scholar Mark Lemont Hill for making critical remarks about Israel at the United Nations on Palestine Solidarity Day.
A CNN spokesman confirmed that Mark Lemmont Hill was no longer part of the company under the agreement, according to a report by the foreign news agency AP.
CNN did not give a reason for his dismissal, but the decision came after objections were raised by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and other groups to Mark Lemont Hill's speech.
Mark Lemont is a professor of media studies at Hill Temple University and comments on political issues at CNN.
In his speech at the United Nations on World Solidarity Day, Mark Lemount Hill called on the international community to boycott Israel and highlighted Israel's atrocities.
"We have the opportunity not only to show solidarity through words, but also to take practical action, in addition to political action, locally and globally, to move us towards the demands of justice and from river to sea," he said. C) Only the liberation of Palestine.
On the other hand, the ADL and other groups said that the term "from river to sea" was a code of destruction for Israel, commonly used by Hamas and other groups.
"Those who use the phrase from the river to the sea are calling for the end of the state of Israel," said Sharon Nizarian, ADL's senior vice president for global affairs.
He said the annual event at the United Nations fosters division and hatred.
The fired professor from CNN released a series of tweets on social media in which he said, "By quoting River to Sea, I did not mean to demand the destruction of anything or anyone."
"It was a demand for justice for both Israel and the West Bank or Gaza, the speech makes it very clear," he said.
"I support the liberation of Palestine, I support the sovereignty of Palestine," said Professor Lemount Hill.
"I do not support hostility, the killing of Jews or what is taken from my speech, I have spent my life fighting these things," he said.
