Palestinian President announces termination of all agreements with US, Israel.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has canceled all agreements with Israel and the United States, including on security, over plans to annex large parts of the occupied West Bank.

According to the Associated Press, the Palestinian Authority was formed in the 1990s as a result of the Oslo Accords and other agreements under which it maintains its political, economic and security relations with Israel.

Mahmoud Abbas said that the Palestinian Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority are no longer bound by any agreement or understanding with the Israeli and US governments, including security.

He said Israel would now have to shoulder its responsibilities as an occupier before the international community.

He also announced that Palestine, as a member state, would intensify its campaign to join international organizations and oppose US defense.

There has been no reaction from the United States since Mahmoud Abbas's statement.

It should be noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had said that the new government taking oath in Israel should exercise Israeli sovereignty in the occupied West Bank.

Israel's claim to sovereignty over the occupied West Bank violates international law. He spoke in support of the US Alliance, but said that maintaining some independence was important for Israel.

The King of Jordan later warned Israel that a major conflict could erupt if plans to annex parts of the occupied West Bank continued.

Israel has promised to annex ghettos and the Jordan Valley, which could be a practical justification for ending a long-stalled peace process.

It should be noted that Jordan is an ally of the West and one of the two Arab states that have signed a peace agreement with Israel.

On the other hand, more than 250 artists and writers from around the world called on Israel to end the siege of the West Bank. He said the corona virus could have devastating effects on the world's largest open prison.

The global artists had said in an online letter that the health sector in Gaza was already in the worst condition before the corona virus and the United Nations had predicted that the coastal strip would be uninhabitable by 2020.

The United Nations has warned that the spread of the virus could be catastrophic due to the high poverty rate and weak health system in the Gaza Strip, which has been under Israeli blockade since 2007.

Obtaining construction permits from Israeli authorities in Israeli-occupied territories is the most difficult step for Palestinians, and human rights volunteers believe it has led to a shortage of homes.

Israel occupied the West Bank and East Jerusalem in 1967 after a six-day war, but later annexed East Jerusalem as part of its state, which was never recognized by the international community.

Israel began construction of the barrier in 2000 and declared it indispensable for its own protection.

American plan
US President Donald Trump has announced a Middle East peace plan that would make Jerusalem the "undivided capital" of Israel, while the Palestinians would have a capital in East Jerusalem and half of the West Bank. Will not be divided into sections.

The Palestinians rejected any proposal that did not show the whole of East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine because of the presence of Muslim, Jewish and Christian holy sites in the area.

However, the US President had said in the White House that Jerusalem would remain the undivided capital of Israel.

The peace plan proposed by the United States recognized Israeli settlements in the West Bank and imposed a four-year ban on new settlements in the West Bank.

According to the Associated Press, the peace plan supports Israel on key issues in the conflict, which has hampered peace efforts in the past, including along the borders, and makes it almost impossible to give the Palestinians a state.

The peace plan received a neutral response from the United Nations and Europe, while major Islamic countries rejected it, calling it a betrayal of Palestine.
