Hundreds of bottles of alcohol were recovered from a truck at a water delivery company Indian driver arrested in Saudi Arabia. The owner of the water company threatened to sue the video maker.
Dozens of bottles of wine have been recovered from the truck of a water delivery company in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. The matter has left Saudi people wondering how the Shariah and Makroah are being blamed on the cover of water supply by the company that is making the clean water. The owner of the water delivery company, however, responded to the video that went viral, saying he did not know who the bottles were and who was smuggling them into his company's truck.
The matter came to light when a truck from a bottled water supply company, Naqi, was stopped and searched by National Guards when 240 bottles of alcohol were recovered from it. After which the Indian driver of the truck was arrested.
A man at the event made a video of the entire action and shared it on social media. However, the owner of the company has been unaware of the bottles of alcohol and has threatened to sue the video makers as well.
"Naqi" company owner Amin Mulla said of the viral video "Many of my friends have sent me a video of the action and are seeking clarification on the incident. During the operation, police have arrested an Indian man who has seized hundreds of liquor bottles from his possession. The bottles of this driver's truck were searched and my company logo is affixed to the truck.
I want to tell people that at present 700 bottles of water are being supplied through the trucks, only 150 of them are owned by me, while the remaining hundreds of trucks are operated by different agencies. Even the water bottles shown by my company in this video are different in size and design than the original bottles, but the video maker didn't reveal this fact to discredit me.
Of course, the truck from which the bottles of liquor were recovered had my company logo on it, but by law, anyone, even security personnel or media personnel, could make a video to defame the company. I have decided that I will take action against the person who made the video for defaming the company, only after the Corona epidemic is over.
